Tiered pricing: a tour price for each party size

With tiered prices, each range of party sizes has a price of its own: 1 to 3 passengers pay one price, 4 to 6 a lower one. Tiers price private tours, group tours priced by booking size and add-ons.

Setting up tiers

  1. 1

    Open the tour's pricing

Go to Tours → Manage, open the tour and choose Private tour → Pricing.

  2. 2

    Choose tiers

Set Pricing mode to Tiered, then pick a Tier pricing mode: Per person or Per group (below).

  3. 3

    Enter the first tier

It starts at 1 passenger. Enter where it ends under To, and its price.

  4. 4

    Add the next tiers

Click Add tier: each tier starts after the one before it. On Per person, leave the last To empty for any larger party: it reads Unlimited.

  5. 5

    Save the tour

    Click Save.

Three tiers per person, on a minimum of 2 passengers

Per person or per group

Per person

Each tier is a price per person. The party's size picks the tier, and everyone in it pays that price.

Per group

Each tier is one total for any party in its range, such as a vehicle for up to 4. Every tier needs a To.

What each party pays

A private tour with Per person tiers of 90.00 USD (1 to 3 passengers), 75.00 USD (4 to 6) and 65.00 USD (7 or more), on a minimum of 2 passengers:

Tiers and the minimum passengers

A private tour has a Minimum passengers: Default (your business's Min. pax charged for private tours) or Custom.

  • With Smaller parties pay for the minimum, a smaller party pays the price of the minimum's tier, like the first row above. The tiers must then reach the minimum, or the tour can't be saved.
  • Where the minimum changes a tier's total, the editor shows the tier's own total struck through beside the one charged.
  • With Smaller parties cannot book, a smaller party can't book on your website or on OTAs. Your staff see a warning and can still save the booking.

The largest party

The last tier's To is the most passengers one private booking can hold, shown as Effective private capacity: Unlimited when a Per person tier has no end. A larger party can't book on your website or on OTAs; your staff see a warning and can still save the booking.

Children and other age groups

Passengers with an age group price or discount don't count toward the tiers. The tier is chosen by the passengers who pay the standard price, and the others pay their own price on top: two adults with two children pay the two-passenger price for the adults, plus the children's prices. See age groups.
