How to add an itinerary with stops and a map to a tour
An itinerary shows customers your tour as a timeline of stops, with a map. It changes nothing in your prices, schedule or bookings.
Build the itinerary
- 1
Open Itinerary
Open the tour under Tours → Manage and click Itinerary. On a new tour, the section appears once the tour is created.
- 2
Set where it starts
Search for the Start point. Returns to start is on: switch it off if the tour ends somewhere else, and search for the End point.
- 3
Add stops and transport
Add stop adds a place the group spends time at. Add transport adds how it travels on, with the minutes it takes.
- 4
Put the rows in order
Drag a row by its handle. Click a row to Edit it, to add a stop or transport Above or Below it, or to Remove it.
- 5
Save
Click Save, at the bottom right of the page.
Stops and transport
- Every stop needs a place from the search. If the pin is in the wrong spot, drag it.
- Write the practical detail in the description, not in the name: where to wait, when to be there.
- Pass by: a stop seen from the vehicle, without stopping.
- Minor stop: shown on the map and in the timeline, without a number.
- Two transport legs can't follow each other: merge them, or add a stop between.
- Photos: pick them from the tour's gallery or upload new ones. A stop's photos show in the timeline and in the tour's photos.
- The times are optional. The editor warns when they don't add up to the tour's duration, and saves anyway.
Tours of several days
Add day splits the itinerary into Day 1 and Day 2. Each press adds a day, up to 60.
- Each day has its own Start point and End point. A day starts where the day before ended, unless you choose another place in its Edit.
- A base hotel: set it as day 1's Start point, open day 1's End point, pick Same as start of day 1, then click Use this for every other day end that has no place yet.
- Name a day with the pencil on its bar, drag it by its handle to move it, or remove it with the bin: its stops and transport move to the day beside it.
- Show the itinerary grouped by day shows customers a heading above each day.
A different itinerary for some variants
On a tour with variants, one itinerary covers All variants. Add itinerary for specific variants adds another for the variants you pick, such as a boat route beside a jeep route. Customers see the itinerary of the variant they choose.
What customers see
On the tour's page, below what is included: a numbered timeline with each stop's description and photos, and View on map, with a pin for each stop and the route between them.
Questions we get asked

No. The editor shows the itinerary's total time beside the tour's duration and warns when they differ, but you can save.
No. A tour you import from another business doesn't show an itinerary.
