How to add your own pages to your TourTask website
Besides its ready-made pages, your website can have up to 20 pages of your own, such as a privacy policy or a page about your boats. You build them in the same editor as the others.
Add a page
- 1
Press Add page
Go to Website builder → Pages and press Add page at the top right.
- 2
Name the page
Type the Page name: it shows in the menu and at the top of the page. With several languages, write it in your website's default language.
- 3
Choose where its link shows
In Shown in, choose Top menu, Footer or No menu.
- 4
Check its name and address in each language
With several languages, press Next: TourTask translates the name and makes each language's Page address from it. Change any you like. With one language, the Page address is in the same window.
- 5
Press Add page
The page's editor opens, with a page header carrying its name and an empty text section. Write the page, add sections and press Save.
If the name cannot be translated just then, type it in each language or leave it empty: it is translated after the page is added.
Where its link shows
| Shown in | Where visitors find the page |
|---|---|
| Top menu | In the top menu, after Tours, About us and Contact |
| Footer | In the footer, beside Terms and conditions |
| No menu | Only at its address, and through buttons and links on your other pages |
To change it later, choose another place in the page's Shown in on Website builder → Pages: it is saved at once.
Its address in each language
Each language has its own address, made from the page's name in that language, such as /privacy-policy and /es/politica-de-privacidad. An address uses lower-case letters a–z, digits and hyphens, and it stays the same when you rename the page. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Russian addresses are written in Latin letters.
Move, re-address or delete a page
Each page of your own has a menu (⋮) at the end of its row on Website builder → Pages:
- Move up and Move down change the order of your pages, in both menus.
- Change address changes the page's address in each language. Links to an address you change stop working, and it then shows "Page not found": tick I understand that links to the old address will stop working to save.
- Delete page deletes the page and everything on it, once you press Delete. Buttons and links that led to it then show as plain text.
