How to create your tour operator website

The setup wizard builds your TourTask website from ready-made pages and your tours. You need a public e-mail and one or more photos of your own, each at least 1920 × 1080 pixels.

Create your website step by step

The setup wizard’s five steps.
  1. 1

    Open the setup wizard

Go to Website builder → Overview. The first time, it opens Set up your website.

  2. 2

Fill in your public contact details

In Your business, fill in your Public contact details. A Public e-mail is required.

  3. 3

    Add your links and logos

Add your Social media and review sites and check the Default language. Under Logo, upload your logos if you have any, then press Next.

  4. 4

    Describe your business

Paste anything about your business in Your texts, and add the Address of your current website if you have one. The AI does not read social media pages, so paste what it should use from them. To write your texts yourself, switch Write my texts with AI off.

  5. 5

Choose whether you take custom requests

Under Custom requests, choose Yes, invite visitors to send custom requests or No, I focus on the tours in my booking system. With yes, describe the requests you take under What kinds of requests do you take? Then press Next.

  6. 6

    Choose your colours and fonts

Choose the Top menu style, Light or dark pages, the Accent color and the Fonts in Appearance, then press Next. The colours are your brand colours: your shop and vouchers use them too.

  7. 7

    Add your slideshow photos

Drop or choose one to five photos for the Hero slideshow in Photos. Crop each one and press Save.

  8. 8

    Check the other photos

Check the photos under Introduction with photos, taken from your tours, and replace any you like. Under About us, add a photo of you or your team if you have one, then press Next.

  9. 9

    Create the website

Press Create my website in Create. Your website goes online at once at its free address, and Website builder → Overview opens.

There is no preview step

From the start, your vouchers, booking e-mails and chat answers link to your website instead of TourTask's booking page. To finish it in private, press Unpublish on Website builder → Overview, then Publish when it is ready.

After you create your website

Website builder → Overview shows your website's address under Website address, and the AI's progress under Texts written by AI.

If the AI needs more facts, it asks you a few questions there, and your texts wait for your answers. Answer what you can and press Submit answers.

Offering Apple Pay, Google Pay or Amazon Pay?

Their buttons show on your website only once its address, such as yourname.tourtask.site, is registered. For Apple Pay and Google Pay, add it in your Stripe account: see Apple Pay and Google Pay. For Amazon Pay, add it with https:// in front in Seller Central → Integration Central → Allowed JavaScript origins.
