How to write your terms and conditions for customers

Your terms and conditions are written under Configuration → Terms, as a list of sections. TourTask shows them wherever customers book and pay, in their language.

Write your terms

  1. 1

    Open Configuration → Terms

Your sections are listed in the order customers read them.

  2. 2

    Click Add section

Give the section a Title, such as "Cancellations and refunds", and write its Content.

  3. 3

    Click Save

The section is translated into your other languages automatically. Add a section for each topic.

Configuration → Terms with three sections

Click a section to change it, or to remove it with Remove in its ⋮ menu. Drag a section by its handle to move it. When you change a section's text, TourTask asks whether to translate your change into your other languages.

Where customers see them

  • On the booking page, where customers pay: Read terms, and a box, I have read and accept the terms, which they tick before paying.
  • In the booking confirmation e-mails, and on the tour vouchers.
  • In your website chat: the AI assistant answers questions about cancellations, refunds and what the price includes from them.

Customers whose language lacks your terms see them in your default language.

Show your terms on your own website

  1. 1

    Open Website integrations → Terms

Configuration → Terms links there too.

  2. 2

    Copy the code

On the HTML tab, under Embed code, choose your page's language and copy the code. On a WordPress site too, use this code.

  3. 3

Paste it into your terms page

The page then always shows your terms as last saved, in your website's own font and colours.

Like your other widgets, it works only on a website registered with TourTask: see Website integrations.

Your cancellation policy is set apart

Your cancellation policy is set under Configuration → Bookings, not in your terms. Make sure your terms say the same: customers accept them when they book.
