How to choose what customers are asked when they book

Two settings pages decide what your website's checkout asks: Configuration → Bookings for the person who books, and Configuration → Passenger details for each traveller. Every change saves at once.

The booking contact

Under Configuration → Bookings → Standard client data, switch on Country or Phone to make customers give them when they book. Online travel agencies are told to ask for them too.

Arrival and departure

Under Arrival and departure, choose when customers are asked for their arrival and departure dates, times and flight numbers:

ChoiceWho is asked
Show for all toursEvery customer
Do not showNobody
Show only for selected toursCustomers booking the tours you add. A new tour asks only once you add it.
Show for all tours except selectedCustomers booking any tour but those you add. A new tour asks at once.
Standard client data and Arrival and departure on Configuration → Bookings

A cart with a hotel room always asks, as the room is booked for those dates. Your staff always see these fields in the booking form.

Each traveller's details

  1. 1

    Open Configuration → Passenger details

Each row is a detail you can ask about every traveller, such as Age, Nationality, Passport number or Shoe size (EU).

  2. 2

    Switch on Enabled

Customers are then asked it for each traveller at checkout.

  3. 3

    Tick Required or Alert

Required: customers can't book without it. Alert: the operations calendar marks a booking that lacks it.

  4. 4

    Choose the tours

A detail is asked for All tours. To ask it for some tours only, switch All tours off and click Add tour.

The first rows of Configuration → Passenger details

Choose one of each pair, in the unit your guides use: Weight (kg) or Weight (lbs), Shoe size (EU) or Shoe size (US), Pregnant (weeks) or Pregnant (months).

Where you see the answers

  • On the booking: Passenger details in its Quick view.
  • In the booking e-mails, in a Passenger details table.
  • On the departure's passenger list, one column per detail.

Questions we get asked
