How to pay sellers a commission with links and QR codes

A seller sends you customers and earns a commission on their bookings: a hotel desk, a restaurant, a shop. Each seller gets links to your website that credit the bookings to them.

Make someone a seller

  1. 1

    Create the user

Go to Users → Manage, click Create new user and enter the seller's Name and E-mail.

  2. 2

    Make them a commissionee

Switch on Commissionee and click Save.

  3. 3

    Open their tab

Click the seller in the list and open the Commissionee tab: it now shows their commission and their links.

Set their commission

The table at the top of the tab shows what the seller earns now, tour by tour.

  • Same as everyone keeps the rates set for all your sellers under Configuration → Commissions.
  • Completely separate terms gives this seller their own Commission: a Percentage of the booking, a Fixed amount per passenger or a Fixed amount per booking. Click Save below it.
  • Per-tour exceptions sets another rate for single tours.

Sell with TourTask Sales

A seller with a login can sell in person with the TourTask Sales app: keep Send welcome email on when you create their user, so they choose a password. Their bookings in the app earn their commission, and the app shows them an estimate under Settings → Accounts → Earnings.

Pay their commission

A booking's commission is due once the booking is fully paid and its tour has ended. You pay it under Economy → Pay → Commissions, which also says why each amount is what it is: see Commissions.

Questions we get asked

A percentage is worked out on what the customer pays, after the discount. A fixed amount per booking or per passenger stays the same.

Yes: switch on both Commissionee and Lodging on its user. See Partner hotels.
