How to create promo codes, discount links and QR codes
A promo code takes money off a booking, or lets the customer pay only part of it now. Customers type it at your website's checkout, or open a link that enters it for them.
Discount
A Percentage off, with an optional Maximum discount, or a Fixed amount.
Deposit option
Nothing off the price: the customer may pay this share now and the rest later.
Create a promo code
- 1
Open the form
Go to Bookings → Promo codes and click Add promo code. Give it an Internal name for your list; customers don't see it.
- 2
Choose what it gives
Under What this code gives, choose Discount and its Discount type, or Deposit option and its Deposit percentage.
- 3
Choose what it covers
Under Scope, choose All products, or Specific products and pick them. Add a Minimum order value if a booking must reach one.
- 4
Choose when it works
The Booking window is when the booking must be made; the Travel window, when the tour must take place. Maximum redemptions caps the uses. Leave any of them empty for no limit.
- 5
Choose where it works
Apply to storefront lets customers use it at your website's checkout, and Apply to backoffice lets your staff add it to a booking. Both start on.
- 6
Write the code
Under Codes, type the Promo code customers will use, or click the button beside it for a random one. Click Create.
More rules
- Price lists shows when you have several: the code then works only on the lists you choose.
- Restrict to a customer keeps the code for one customer. Notify the customer by email sends it to them when you save.
- Apply to agent bookings, off at first, lets a discount code work on bookings with an agent's discount. Then choose Stack with the agent discount or Use whichever discount is higher.
- Status: Paused stops the code everywhere until you set it to Active again.
- For single-use codes, click Add under Codes for each one and give each a Maximum redemptions of 1.
