How to resell tours between TourTask businesses
A TourTask business can sell another's tours on its own website, in its backoffice and on its online travel agencies. The owner runs the tour; the seller collects the full price and owes the owner a net price.
Import a partner's tour
- 1
Open the import
Go to Tours → Manage and click Import from another business.
- 2
Pick the tour
Type the partner's name in Search a business to import from and pick it. Then choose its tour in Pick a tour.
- 3
Choose your price
Under How to price it, choose one of the three ways below, then enter your Markup, or your Per pax and Per booking amounts.
- 4
Import it
Click Import tour. It shows in your tours as pending, and goes on sale once the owner accepts.
How your price is built
Your price follows the owner's, so it changes when theirs does. Your net price is what the owner charges the agent who represents you (below). For one passenger on a tour the owner sells at 100, with a 20% Tour discount for you:
| How to price it | Your customer pays | You owe the owner | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owner's net + a percentage, 10% | 88 | 80 | 8 |
| Owner's net + a fixed amount, 15 Per pax | 95 | 80 | 15 |
| Sell at the owner's price | 100 | 80 | 20 |
A private tour the owner prices with tiers can't be resold as a private tour, nor a group tour the owner prices by booking size as a group tour: they show Price unset.
Accept a request
When a business imports one of your tours, its request shows under Import requests at the top of Tours → Manage.
- 1
Accept it
Click Accept on the request. Decline moves it to Declined requests, where you can still accept it later.
- 2
Choose who represents the seller
Pick Use an existing agent, or Create a new agent with a Name, an E-mail and a Tour discount.
- 3
Confirm
Click Accept & attach.
That agent's discount, or seasons of their own, set what the seller owes you: see Agents and agencies. With neither, the seller pays your usual price.
Choose where they sell
Once a business resells your tours, Businesses reselling your tours lists them on the same page, with switches for each tour:
- Storefront, Backoffice and OTA: where the partner may sell it. OTA, their online travel agencies, stays off until you switch it on.
- Per-band pricing: the partner sells your age group prices. Off, every passenger pays the adult price.
Settle up
Customers pay the seller. The seller pays the owner directly, outside TourTask, and Economy → Partner settlement keeps the balance.
- You owe lists what you owe the owners of the tours you resell; Owed to you, what your resellers owe you.
- Each row shows a partner's Outstanding amount in one currency and its Bookings. Bookings not yet confirmed are left out.
- When the money has changed hands, click Mark as settled on the row and confirm.
Questions we get asked
Yes, once the owner switches on OTA for you. Your OTAs then get the owner's live departures. Its private side, and a product that mixes tours of different owners (yours included), can't be booked there.
No. Each sale also makes a booking in the owner's account, on the owner's own departures, so it takes the owner's real seats.
No. You pay each other directly: Partner settlement only keeps track of what is owed and settled.
