SEO for tour operators: get found on Google and ChatGPT

Google and AI assistants send travellers to the pages that answer their question best: make your tour pages those pages.

Give each tour a page of its own

  • ✓The search phrase in the tour's name and first sentence
  • ✓Your own photos, and facts only you know: the guide's story, the best viewpoint, the season to come
  • ✓A page title and a two-line description that say what the traveller gets: search results show them
Never copy a page for each nearby town

Google treats near-identical pages for different places, and pages made in bulk with AI that add little, as spam (2026).

Be the answer AI assistants give

Two in three travellers used AI to plan their trips (Arival, 2026). AI assistants recommend from what they read about you:

  • ✓The same facts everywhere: name, address, phone, hours, tour names, prices and meeting points match on your website, Google profile, Tripadvisor and every booking site.
  • ✓Your Google Business Profile up to date: one of Google's tips for its AI answers (2025). See Google Business Profile.
  • ✓Recent reviews: AI tools read what guests write and how recent it is (Arival, 2026). See Get more reviews.
  • ✓Facts in text, not only in pictures: prices, times and what's included, written out on the page.
  • ✓Open to ChatGPT: its answers show only websites that let its search robot, OAI-SearchBot, read them (OpenAI, 2026). Ask whoever runs your website to check.

A page's structured data must match what the page shows, and never carry stars copied from Tripadvisor or Google.

In TourTask

Your TourTask website gives each tour its own page with its structured data, lists every page for search engines and lets AI search robots in. Write each page's Search result description and verify the website in Search Console: see Search engines and analytics.
