How to change a booking and resend its confirmation
Open a booking to change it, then save it. A saved booking keeps the prices it was sold at until you choose otherwise.
Change a booking
- 1
Find it
In Bookings → View, search for the booking.
- 2
Open it
Open the row's menu (⋮) and choose Manage booking.
- 3
Make your changes
Change the passengers, tours, dates or details, as in Create a booking.
- 4
Save
Click Save.
When a price would change
A new date in another season, a group size in another price tier or a date with a price adjustment can change a line's price. A line that follows the tour's price changes by itself. For a line with a price of its own, set by hand or kept from before a price change, TourTask asks:
Keep current price
The line keeps what the customer was quoted.
Use new price
The line takes the price for the new date or group size.
Set a price by hand
- 1
Open the line's menu
In the Cart, open the menu (⋮) on the tour's line and choose Edit price.
- 2
Type the price
Fill in every box: 0 makes the line free. Each box's label shows the tour's usual price.
- 3
Apply it
Click Done, then Save the booking.
The line now keeps that price, marked ≠. To follow the tour's price again, type its usual price.
Confirmation, vouchers and booking page
- Resend booking confirmation, in the menu (⋮) at the bottom of the form, e-mails the booking confirmation to the contact again.
- Tour vouchers, at the top of the Booking section, downloads the vouchers in the language you choose.
- Public page, beside it, opens the customer's booking page in any of your languages.
Write to the customer
On a saved booking, the e-mail icon beside the contact's address writes them an e-mail, sent by TourTask for your business. The WhatsApp icon beside a phone number opens a chat with it; it shows for numbers saved with their country code. Quick view has both icons too.
Questions we get asked
Its price differs from the tour's usual price: it was set by hand, or the tour's prices changed after the booking was made. The line keeps its price.
No: it opens read-only. Reactivate booking, on its banner, undoes the cancellation, except for a booking from a travel agency or a partner business: see Cancellations.
