Set up Clearpay so travellers pay for a booking in four instalments while you get the full amount upfront. Clearpay is Afterpay under its own name: you need a Clearpay business account.

Apply for a Clearpay business account

  1. 1

    Apply with Clearpay

Apply at clearpay.co.uk under For retailers, with your business details.

  2. 2

    Wait for approval

Clearpay reviews each business. Once approved, you can sign in to its business portal.

Get your Merchant ID and Secret key

Clearpay gives each approved account a Merchant ID and a Secret key. Find them in the business portal, or ask your Clearpay contact for them.

Add Clearpay in TourTask

  1. 1

    Open the Clearpay card

Go to Configuration → Payment options and click the Clearpay card under Online payments → Payment gateways. Not there? Choose Show all gateways under the cards.

  2. 2

    Choose the country and currency

Pick the Country where your Clearpay account and its bank account are, and the Currency travellers pay in. Click Add. To change either later, remove Clearpay with Remove and add it again.

  3. 3

    Fill in your API credentials

Under Authentication, the card has a field for each:
    Merchant ID
    Secret key

Each field saves when you click out of it.

  4. 4

    Activate Clearpay

Click Activate once every field is filled in. The card turns Active, and travellers can pay with Clearpay on your booking page. Every payment goes straight into your own Clearpay account: TourTask never holds your money.

Clearpay limits the order amount

Clearpay sets a minimum and a maximum amount for each account, and a new account's maximum can be below a tour's price. If bookings are refused for their amount, ask Clearpay to raise it.

Questions we get asked
