How to set up a GetYourGuide option for TourTask
GetYourGuide takes TourTask's prices only when each option is set up the way TourTask sends them. Set it up in GetYourGuide's option wizard, with the product's OTA setup cell in TourTask open beside it.
Always choose Price per person
On the option's Availability & Pricing step, answer “How do you set your prices?” with Price per person. Do so also for a tour you price per group or per vehicle in TourTask.
TourTask sends a price per person for each party size, which adds up to your group or vehicle price. Price per group/vehicle can't hold those tiers, so the option's connection fails to validate.

- 1
Find the product
In TourTask, go to Channel manager → Online travel agencies → GetYourGuide. In Product pricing, the OTA setup column shows each product's Min, Max and price tiers.
- 2
Open its tiers
Click the cell to see each tier on a row of its own.
- 3
Enter the participants
On GetYourGuide's Capacity step, enter the Min and Max as the minimum and maximum participants.
- 4
Enter the tiers
On the Price step, answer Yes to using the prices of your reservation system. Click Tier price and add each row as a tier of its own: 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and so on, the last with no upper limit. A product showing No tiers takes one price per person instead.
Age groups
When GetYourGuide asks whether the price depends on age, add the age groups you use in TourTask, and keep only Adult if everyone pays the same. TourTask prices five: infant, child, youth, adult and senior.
Tours priced by booking size
A group tour whose Pricing mode is Formula or Tiered gets tiers like a private tour: set up its option the same way. GetYourGuide can't sell these setups, so change them in TourTask:
- Smaller parties cannot book, with a minimum above 1: choose Smaller parties pay for the minimum, and enter the minimum as GetYourGuide's minimum participants.
- Two or more tiers Per booking while an age group has a price or discount of its own: the tour editor and the OTA setup cell say so.
- Seasons whose tiers end at different sizes: give every season the same largest tier.
The first one holds for a private tour too. After you change a tour's tiers, Max passengers, minimum or a season's largest tier, check its OTA setup cell again and change the option to match. Then choose Push availability in the product's ⋮ menu.
GetYourGuide's error messages
| GetYourGuide says | What to do |
|---|---|
| “PricesByCategory cannot be null or empty…” | Choose Price per person, add the tiers of the OTA setup cell, and validate again. |
| “The list of tiered prices can not be empty” | The product has one price per person: remove the option's tiers, and validate again. |
| “Connection validation is not complete…” | Validate again. If it stays, delete the option's pricing, set it up again and validate. |
When GetYourGuide refuses TourTask's updates for an option, the error shows on your dashboard and beside the product on the GetYourGuide page. After a day of refusals, TourTask e-mails your administrators the tiers to set. Fix the option, then choose Push availability.
Questions we get asked
GetYourGuide shows the first tier's price per person, which for a tour priced per group is the price for one person. Under Display price, switch on Set a custom display price and choose the party in Show the price for. Then set each option's minimum participants to the Min in its OTA setup cell. The Display price column shows the price GetYourGuide shows.
No. TourTask sends them, raised by your channel prices. What you type on GetYourGuide is replaced.
