Cover commission or a markup of your own
Cover commission
Raises your price just enough that you get your full TourTask price after the OTA's commission. Calculated markup shows the markup this makes.
Custom markup
You choose the markup, and the commission comes off the raised price. It starts at the markup that covers the commission, so the price stays the same until you change it.
Compared to standard price shows what you get from each sale, as a share of your TourTask price: 100% is your full price, and below 90% it turns red. For a tour that costs 100 in TourTask, with a 20% commission:
| Your choice | Price on the OTA | You get | Compared to standard price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cover commission | 125 | 100 | 100% |
| Custom markup of 0% | 100 | 80 | 80% |
| Custom markup of 10% | 110 | 88 | 88% |
| Custom markup of 30% | 130 | 104 | 104% |
Give one product its own markup
In Product pricing, each tour's group and private side and each package has a Markup field. Enter a percentage there to price that product differently on this channel. Leave it empty to keep the channel's markup, which the empty field shows.
See what customers pay
Each row of Product pricing shows the price on the OTA Per person and the Total for an example party, and its Compared to standard price. Choose the party size in Example price above the table, and a Date when your prices change with the date. Prices show in the currency the OTA gets.
Questions we get asked
