How to recommend more tours at checkout
A tour recommendation suggests another of your tours to travellers on their way to checkout. You pick the tour, and with conditions, the carts it shows for.
What travellers see
When a traveller presses Go to checkout in the cart, a Recommended activities window shows the tours recommended for that cart, each as its card in your booking widget. A click on a card opens the tour, and Continue without recommended activities goes on to checkout.
- A tour already in the cart is never recommended.
- Once the traveller has added every recommended tour, checkout opens by itself.
- It works in your booking widget, on the booking page TourTask hosts and in your TourTask website's shop.
Add a recommendation

Open Tour recommendations
In TourTask, go to Website integrations → Tour recommendations.

Pick the tour
Press Add recommendation and choose the tour to recommend. It is saved at once, and shows in every cart until you add conditions.

On the recommendation's card, press Add condition.

Pick a tour and the condition
Under Select tour, pick a tour. Under Select condition, pick is added or is not added.

Press Add condition
The card lists the tour under Added or Not added.

The red ✕ beside a tour in a list removes that condition.
The text and Recommend as
Each card also has a Text in each language and two Recommend as switches, Group tour and Private tour. Your booking widget uses neither: it shows the tour's own card whenever the conditions match, whatever the text and the switches say.
To stop recommending a tour, press Remove on its card. It is removed at once, without asking.

The list offers your public tours that have no recommendation yet, shore excursions aside. A tour has one recommendation, with as many conditions as you need.
