How to teach your AI assistant about your business

The assistant already knows your tours, availability, prices, terms and cancellation policy. Teach it the rest, such as how to find you and your answers to common questions, under Customer relations → Messages → AI assistant.

Add what it should know

  1. 1

    Scan your website

In the Assistant context & instructions card, click Scan website, check the Website address and click Start scan. TourTask reads your public pages, skips your tours and the TourTask widget, and sorts what it finds into the knowledge base.

  2. 2

    Add notes

Click Add note and paste anything that helps into Content: business details, travel tips, policies, FAQs, even old customer e-mails. Give it a Title if you like, and click Save.

  3. 3

    Generate instructions

Under Knowledge base, click Generate instructions to sort your notes into the knowledge base too. Click it again whenever you add or change a note.

Check the knowledge base

The Knowledge base holds what the assistant answers from, in sections. How to respond sections tell it how to answer: its tone, what to recommend and when to pass a chat to your team. The other sections are facts it may quote, such as About the business or Location & getting there. Click a section to open it and see its buttons.

EditChange a section's category, title or text. An edited section stays as you wrote it when you generate again.
Hide / ShowLeaves the section out of what the assistant knows, without deleting it.
Pin / UnpinA pinned section stays as it is when you generate again.
DeleteRemoves the section.

What teaching the assistant costs

Scanning your website and generating instructions use your business's monthly AI allowance, at the AI quality it has chosen, and its AI credits once the allowance is used up. The line under Generate instructions shows what is left. The assistant's answers to your customers are billed separately, as AI chat usage on your invoice.

Questions we get asked
