How to start taking Afterpay payments

Afterpay reviews each business before issuing credentials, and every account belongs to one country — the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand — and settles in that country's currency. In the US, shoppers see the product branded Cash App Afterpay; the setup below is identical.

1. Apply for an Afterpay business account

Apply at afterpay.com (For retailers → sign up) with your business details for your country. Afterpay reviews the business case by case — services and experiences are not excluded, but the decision is Afterpay's. Approval opens the Afterpay business portal for your account.

2. Get your Merchant ID and Secret Key

Afterpay issues each approved account a Merchant ID and a Secret Key for its API — you'll find them in the business portal, or your Afterpay contact hands them over during onboarding (sandbox credentials for testing come the same way). Those two values are everything TourTask needs.

3. Activate Afterpay in TourTask

In TourTask go to Configuration → Payment options, add Afterpay, choose your country and its currency (USD, CAD, AUD or NZD — it must match your Afterpay account's country), paste the Merchant ID and Secret Key, and press Activate. Customers confirm a pay-in-4 plan on Afterpay's page and the booking confirms the moment they return; you are paid the full amount upfront.
